Lois May Barrett

Lois May Barrett, 93, of Pampa, passed away, March 17, 2018 in Pampa.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 19, 2018, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Barrett was born February 22, 1925 in San Pedro, California to Osborne and Elva Anderson. She was a 1943 graduate of San Pedro High School. Lois married Paul Barrett on October 19, 1944 in Pampa; he passed away December 11, 1999. She was the secretary at First Baptist Church in Pampa, retiring after 30 years. Lois was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and American Business and Professional Women's Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family, the beach, and sitting outside on her porch swing with her beloved dachshund, Molly. Lois was the kindest person with a heart of gold. She always found the good in people and her family was the center of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Danny, in May of 1980.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Cindy Bradstreet and husband Wesley of Wheeler and Cheryl Free and husband Jimmy of Pampa; a brother, Bill Anderson and friend Beverly; four granddaughters, Ember Keith and husband Mike, Sandy Cooper and husband Brad, Kristen Meeker and husband Marc, and Jo Kathryn Jackson and husband Brent; three grandsons, Andy Bradstreet and wife Tracy, Tim Free and wife Kim, and Steven Free and wife Sherry; twenty three great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
