Lois Harris, 92, of Pampa, passed away on July 11, 2022, in Pampa.
Services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, July 15, 2022, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Gary May and Rev. Tom Stribling, her nephews, officiating, Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the funeral home.

Lois was born on February 18, 1930, to Zelma Faye and Amos “Red” May in Wheeler. Lois attended school in Wheeler and was a valedictorian of both her 8th grade class and from Wheeler High School. Shortly after graduating, she married Charles Harris in Wheeler. After getting married, she attended Draughons Business school. After college she and Charles moved to Pampa in 1954. They worked side by side for many years at several of their family owned and operated businesses. They included Harris’ Transfer & Storage and Westside Lawnmower Service. Charles would later precede her in death in 2006.
Lois was not a woman who would remain idle, and her career spanned many different positions and industries. She had tenure with the Hughes family, Cabot, Texas Department of Public Safety Driver’s License, Livingston Hearing Aid Center, and most recently, Iteck Managed Services. Lois was a long-time member and bible schoolteacher for many years at the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Lois loved her whole family- especially her grandchildren and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Andy Harris; two granddaughters, Carrie Harris and Autumn Darden; and brother, Melvin May.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Lisa Baird and husband Rick of Pampa; three granddaughters, Jo Beth Harris, Kami Harris, and Kailey Harris, all of Amarillo; two grandsons, Marcus and Mitchell; sister, Melba Robertson of Bay City; two great-grandchildren, Aubrie Garza and Bentley Darden, both of Pampa; a daughter-in-law, Wendy Harris of Amarillo; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
