Louis Dion “Dinky” Bryant, 63, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, in Amarillo, at Baptist-Saint Anthony’s Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, June 9, 2023, at Alanreed Cemetery with Rev. Thacker Haynes, pastor of McLean Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Louis Dion was born on January 19, 1960, in Groom, Texas to Pansy Alice and James Franklin “Sonny” Bryant. Louis was a lifelong resident of Gray County and grew up in Alanreed and McLean. He graduated from McLean High School in 1978.
Over the years, Louis worked a wide range of jobs, including farming and ranching, a short-term job with a government contractor in Arkansas, time at the Celanese chemical plant in Pampa, and most recently, a position with Enbridge, Inc., a pipeline and energy company in the oil and gas sector.
Louis received a kidney transplant in December of 2022.
Louis is preceded in death by his father, James Bryant; and by his brother, James Hugh Bryant.
A much-beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Louis is survived by his mother, Pansy Bryant of the home; two sisters, April Renee Brummett of the home, and Skyla Bryant of Pampa; nephew, Bobby Glenn Brummett and wife Ashley of Amarillo; niece, Whitney Davis and husband James of Pampa; and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, and friends.
