Louise Ward, 101, of Pampa, passed away November 24, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Keith Feerer, minister of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Ward was born July 17, 1916 in Vernon to Grover and Eva Alexander. Her family moved to Dallas where she went to school until her senior year. They moved to Oklahoma City where she graduated from high school. She worked in her father’s cleaning business until 1943 and then went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 33 ½ years. In 1950, Louise married John D. Ward. After they both retired, they enjoyed traveling. She loved her Lord and His church. She was a faithful member of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Wanda Sue McKeel of Chandler, Arizona; and a niece, Laurie Williams of Oklahoma City. Survivors include her two nieces, Vicki Baylus of Riverside, California, and Karen Vicente of Phoenix, Arizona; and by her two nephews, John McKeel and Mike McKeel, both of Mesa, Arizona; and several great nieces and great nephews.
