Lurieal “Nell” Williams, 87, of Pampa, formerly of Dell City, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday November 6, 2019 in Amarillo.
Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. No services are scheduled at this time.
Mrs. Williams was born September 1, 1932 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Douglas and Ethel Clark. She married Billy Joe Williams in 1949 in Odessa. Bill passed away in 2015. Nell spent most of her adult life in Dell City, Oklahoma where she was a wife, mother and homemaker. Sher was member of the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and was famous for baking “good good” cookies which was a favorite for her children and grandchildren. Lurieal was devoted to her husband, Bill, and taking care of their family. During the summers, she loved having her grandchildren come stay with their "Nana"
Nell was preceded in death by a daughter Rhonda Nell Williams in January of 1969, her sister Cleta Jo Lindsey and brother Coy Lynn Clark.
She is survived by her sons Ron Williams and wife Elvonda of Pampa and Windall Williams and wife Gayle of Paducah, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, Cindy Weinfeld, Michele Sheffield, Christopher Williams, Jennifer Wiersma, Ronella Medley, Timothy Williams, and Benjamin Williams; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the members of Brookdale Sleepy Hollow Memory Care Unit in Amarillo and the people from Encompass Hopsice who cared for Miss Nell during her final days.
