Lynda Martin, 83, of Pampa, passed away November 11, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with John Curry officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Martin was born April 10, 1934 in Canadian to Lem and Ruby Waggoner. Lynda had lived in Pampa since 1950, graduating from Pampa High School in 1952. She married Fred Martin on June 2, 1952 in Pampa. She was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels, hospice, and the American Red Cross until her illness. Lynda was a member of the Las Pampas chapter DAR, Gray County Genealogical Society, and First United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was the best mom and grandma anyone could have. Survivors include her husband, Fred of the home; her daughter, Dana Kay Porter and husband Jack of Perryton; her son, Fred Scott Martin of Brighton, Colorado; a brother, Thurman Lem Waggoner and wife Marion of San Diego, California; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Scott Martin of Phoenix, Arizona, Matthew Brenton Porter of Atlanta, Georgia, and Ashley Katherine Martin of Boulder, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her sister, Grace Gibson and her brother, Billy Don Waggoner.
