Kent Lane

Lyndal "Kent" Lane, 66, of Clinton, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas.

Services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 5, 2018 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Clinton, Missouri.  Graveside services will 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.  Local arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Kent was born March 1, 1952 to Ralph Kent Lane and Juanita ‘Randal’ Lane of Lebanon, MO.  Shortly after his birth, the family moved to a farm, East of Clinton.  Kent graduated from Clinton High School in 1970, and then went to work for Safeway.  When Safeway closed in Clinton, he transferred with the company to Pampa, TX.  Later he went to work as a loader with Celanese Chemical Plant.  Kent’s first wife, Linda Susan Lane, passed away in 2002.  He then married Linda Lu in 2003.  They made their home in Pampa until his retirement in 2013.  At that time, Kent and his wife moved back to the family farm, just East of Clinton.  Kent was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Lu of the home; three daughters, Tiffany Qualls and husband Richard of Pampa, Talyia Wells and husband T.J. of Amarillo, and Tabitha Sharp and husband Joel of Pampa; seven grandchildren, Nathaniel, Cynric, Fallon, Rylan, Patrick, Rocklyn and Thomas; five step-children, Jonathan, Justin, Jerrod, Alicia and Meagan; numerous step-grandchildren; brother, Grandin Lane and wife Sandy of Kansas City, MO; also nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Linda Susan Lane; a step-daughter, Jennifer Gonzales; and a step-grandson, Trevor Gonzales.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Good Hope Baptist Church and may be left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2^nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.
