Maggie Feehan Spoerer, 63, of Amarillo and Pampa, and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on May 15, 2021 in Amarillo.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Maggie was born on June 11, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Marie Margaret Feehan and Thomas Michael Feehan. She grew up and attended school in Illinois. After high school, she enrolled into college to work as a legal secretary. She worked for the Chicago Transportation Authority before moving to California. While in California, she worked for several legal firms as one of their legal secretaries. Maggie would return to Chicago and that is where she later met Frank Spoerer and they married in 1992. In 2016 she and her family moved to Texas, living in Pampa and Amarillo. Maggie liked shopping, decorating, and she especially loved to garden. She will be remembered as a beautiful, sincere, and kind-hearted woman who will be missed greatly by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Tommy Feehan; and by a close cousin, Colleen Selep.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Spoerer of Pampa; two daughters, Katie Traversa and husband Vince of Harwood Heights, Illinois, and Jackie Spoerer of Pampa; two stepsons, Travis Spoerer and Tony Spoerer and fiancée Laura, all of Chicago, Illinois; six grandchildren, Logan Traversa, Samuel Traversa, Noah Spoerer, Becca Traversa, Leila Spoerer, and Willow Spoerer; an aunt, Eileen Feehan of Illinois; a sister-in-law, Patty Lowrie of Pampa; and other extended family.
