Mardell Mask McKendree

Mardell Mask McKendree, 89, of Pampa, died May 23, 2018 in Drumright, Oklahoma.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Scott Moore, her grandson, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. McKendree was born October 28, 1928 in Amarillo, to D. A. and Ruby Mask, one of nine children. She married W. D. McKendree on December 17, 1948 and they made their home in Pampa. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2013. Mardell was a member of First United Methodist Church. After 29 years of service with Southwestern Bell and AT&T, Mardell enjoyed a long retirement with her husband, Dub. They established a summer home outside of Monte Vista, CO., where they fished and entertained family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Ann Moore and husband Jim of Willis, and Karen Lea Geyer and husband David of Drumright, Oklahoma; her sister, Sadie McKinney of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Rev. Scott Moore and wife Jeannie of Conroe, Nathan Geyer and wife Lisa of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Neil Geyer and wife Jennifer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Kendra Metcalfe and husband Bill of Mannford, Oklahoma; twelve great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.

Mardell was also preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, PO Box 1980, Amarillo, Texas 79174-0001.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
