Maria Carmen Cabrales

Maria Carmen Cabrales, 81, of Pampa, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 in Lewisville, Texas.

Vigil will be 10:00 AM, Friday, June 25, 2021 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Francisco Perez officiating.

Funeral mass will be 2:00 PM, Friday, June 25, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery on Saturday afternoon under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Maria was born on February 17, 1940 in Dr Castillo del Valle, Durango, Mexico to Felipe and Beatriz Soto. She married Pablo Cabrales on May 17, 1962. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2011. Maria moved to Chicago during the 1970's. She then moved to Pampa in 1990. Maria enjoyed sewing, playing the lottery, and spending time with family. She will be remembered as a loving a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and 2 sisters, Amalia Trejo and Julia Soto.

She is survived by her 5 sons, Tello Cabrales and wife Patricia, Chente Cabrales and wife Estella, Pablo Cabrales, Jr. and wife Dolores, Jose Cabrales and wife Rosa, all of Pampa and Lupe Cabrales and wife Cecilia of Durango, Mexico; 3 daughters, Lucy Renteria and husband Alfredo and Lola Quezada and husband Hugo, all of Pampa and Carmen Lara and Carlos of Dallas; 4 siblings, Francesca Soria and husband Antonio of Pampa, Sara Soto of Los Angeles, California, Paulin Soto of Chicago, Illinois, and Carlos Soto of Mexico; 26 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
