Marjie Faye Rogers was born in Pampa, Gray County, Texas on May 11, 1929 to William (Bill) Francis Taylor and Monta Taylor. The oldest of three children. She was a lifelong resident of Gray County. Marjie was a proud Pampa Harvester fan from the class of 1947. She attended Texas Christian University and graduated with the class of 1951. Marjie was a Horned Frog fan forever. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church where she served communion and led hymns at Coronado Nursing Center for 37 years.

At retirement in 1990, she went to work at Dana's travel agency and got to explore a lot of our world. She was known to mail her dirty clothes back to Pampa to make room for souvenirs.
To her family, she was better known as Grandma Marjie or Tattee. She said that it was the best times ever being with her Grands and Great Grands. Marjie loved playing cards and games, and she loved to win. She said that her favorite days were with her friends at Bridge Club, lunch with the Wayside Club, and getting her hair done. She was also a talented seamstress and made many beautiful clothes and costumes through the years. Marjie loved her family fiercely and attended as many concerts, games, stock shows, and other activities as she could. She was a wonderful hostess and cook.
