Mark Edwin Trevathan, 61, of Lefors, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024 in Amarillo.

The family will receive friends for a celebration of life meal at the Lefors Seniors Citizens Center from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Mark was born on May 18, 1963 in Amarillo to Wilford Gene Trevathan and Marion Elizabeth Alstead Trevathan. He was raised in Pampa and was a 1981 graduate of Miami High School. After graduation, Mark entered the United States Navy and was discharged in the mid 1980’s. When Mark left the navy, he started his career in the oilfield. He later worked for the City of Lefors for a short time. At the time of his passing, he was working for Clay Farms in White Deer.

Mark enjoyed listening to all types of music, eating good food, reading, and spending time with friends and family. He was incredibly ornery and loved to give people a hard time. Mark will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford Trevathan and Marion Mears; stepfather, John Mears; two nephews, Jesse Griffin and Jake Trevathan; one great-nephew, William Griffin; one brother-in-law, AJ Griffin; numerous stepsiblings; and his beloved dog, Joe.

Mark is survived by his brother, Tim Trevathan and wife Sherri; sister, Debbie Griffin; significant other, Kelley Swanson; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many dear friends.
