Mark Grogan Watkins

Mark Grogan Watkins, 68, of Amarillo, passed away, Thursday, November 26, 2020 in Amarillo.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2020 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Scott Davey, associate pastor at Grace Church in Amarillo, officiating.   Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.  The service will be live streamed through the funeral home website.

Mr. Watkins was born June 27, 1952 in Pampa to Vernon and Billie Watkins. Mark graduated from Pampa High School in 1970 and played football at Oklahoma State University.    He was a truck driver for United Mud Service Company for 10 yrs.  Later Mark became a stockbroker for Smith Barney, a drug and alcohol abuse counselor at Palo Duro Rehab, and went back to his first love, being a truck driver.  He loved to play golf, fish, and was most proud of being a father.  Mark married Stephanie Doiron on June 26, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Survivors include, his wife Stephanie; two sons, Mason Watkins and wife Kristin of Pampa and Miles Watkins of Amarillo; a step-son, Jimmy; three grandchildren, Madison, Kora Ann, and Dane; a niece, Stacey Forshagen Merchant and husband Brian of Houston; and a nephew, Douglas Forshagen II of Colorado.
