Marvin “Pa” Todd, 71, of White Deer, died August 29, 2017 in Carson County. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Joe Dwyer of Tascosa Road Fellowship in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Todd was born April 6, 1946 in Bowers City to Bonnie and Harold Todd. Marvin was raised in the panhandle where he graduated from Lefors High School. He married Retha Horn on August 3, 1971 in Lefors. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2009. In 1977, he moved to White Deer where he resided up until the time of his death. He worked for Cabot/Ingersoll Rand for 21 years. Marvin enjoyed the outdoors where he loved hunting and driving his car, but what brought him the most joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Green and husband Lloyd of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and April Todd and significant other James Bishop of White Deer; a grandson, Devan Cochran and wife Casey of Pampa; three granddaughters, Autumn Bridwell and fiancé Ethan Hunt of Canyon, Brittany Bridwell and Cheyanne Green, both of Choctaw, Oklahoma; the first great-grandson, Brantley Wade Cochran, on the way; and other nieces, nephews and extended family. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Harold Lee Todd; three sisters, Louise Stanford, Tinkey DeVoll, and Janie Romero; and a brother, James Lloyd Todd.
