Mary Ann Andis, 79, of Pampa, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019, in McLean.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Norman Rushing, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mary was born on April 3, 1940 in Hitchita, OK to Homer and Hazel Crisp Watson. She was a graduate of Guymon High School. She married Marshall Andis on June 28, 1958 in Guymon, OK. She worked as a beautician for many years before becoming director of the school lunch program in Wheeler and as a cook at the Wheeler Care Center until her retirement. However, her most important role was as a homemaker. She was very involved in her family’s life. She never missed her kids' and grand-kids' sporting events. She enjoyed crafting, especially crocheting. She had many adventures camping, fishing, and occasionally, hunting. She was a good cook and loved to feed her family. Above all, she was a God loving woman.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and 1 great-grandson, Skyler Lucas.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Montgomery and husband Joe of Pampa; 2 sons, Kevin Andis and wife Julie of Pampa and Robert Andis and wife Kimberly of Wheeler; 2 brothers Jim Watson and wife Sue and Joe Watson and wife Sharon; 1 sister Linda Bridges and husband Charles; 12 grandchildren, Angela, Leslie, Michael, Rachael, Jennifer, Kayla, Jerad, Hannah, Abby, Zack, Garrett, and Cassidy; 12 great-grandchildren, Taytum, Spencer, Wyatt, Saige, Levi, Alli, Macee, Sawyer, Emma, Hazel, Brantley, and J’Leigh; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Church, 513 E. Francis, Pampa, TX, 79065.
