Mary Louise Brown

Mary Louise Brown, 85, of Pampa, died July 31, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 5, 2017, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with Rev. Vondel Stevens, pastor, and Rick Pearson, officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 7, 2017 at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, Oklahoma, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Brown was born December 27, 1931 in Davis, Oklahoma to Matt and Ida Russell and was a 1949 graduate of Davis High School. She married Billy Fred Brown on November 26, 1953 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. They moved to Wellington in 1956, to Panhandle in 1957, and then to Pampa in 1961. Mary had been a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church since 1961, and served on the Board of Directors. She was an Avon representative for over ten years. She volunteered for Good Samaritan Christian Services and Pampa Meals on Wheels and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Mary was a member of the Choctaw Nation and the daughter of an original enrollee. She was very proud of her American Indian heritage. Mary was a very sweet and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by all. Survivors include her husband, Billy Fred Brown of the home; a daughter, Kathy Bradley and husband Rick of Houston; a son, Duane Brown and wife Adah Leah Wolf of McKinney; three grandsons, Ryan Bradley and wife Lindsey of Cypress, Russ Bradley and wife Elena of Denton, and Reid Bradley and wife Samantha of Canyon; and five great grandchildren, Emma, Ava, Revin, Rogan and Parker. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Tina Rozzell in 2009. Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 511 N. Hobart, Pampa, Texas 79065 or Interim Hospice, 2217 Perryton Parkway, Pampa, Texas 79065. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
