Mary Ferguson, 76, of Pampa passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at her home in Pampa.
Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Mike Carlisle, pastor of Full Armor Fellowship, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mary was born August 13, 1942 in Comanche, Oklahoma to Clyde and Vada Sharp. She graduated from Borger High School in 1960. She also graduated from the Dallas School of Accounting which began her interest in bookkeeping and business. Mary met John Ferguson at the age of 14, and they both have felt they have been married all their life. She and John owned and operated Ferguson Bail Bonds for many years, as well as numerous other businesses. She was a member and served on the board of directors of Full Armor Fellowship Church. Mary loved reading, fishing, doing jig saw puzzles, and feeding birds, especially humming birds. Spending time with her family was important to her, as she was known as “momma," “mom," “gram," and “Mrs. Mary” to family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, John E. Ferguson, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, John Ferguson of the home; 3 sons, Kelly Martin of Borger, Terry Ferguson and wife Ginger of Weatherford, and Steven Ferguson and wife Christy of Pampa; a daughter, Suzy Steward and husband Kenny of Amarillo; an adopted daughter, Debbie Darby of Pampa; 2 sisters, Joyce Duke and Barbara Britton both of Borger; brother, Bill Sharp of Nacogdoches; 9 grandchildren, Ashlee, Ben, Caleb, Chase, Brett, Scarlett, Grace, Nathan, and Amanda; 10 great grandchildren; special friend and caregiver, Victoria.
Memorials can be made to Full Armor Fellowship Church, 1733 N. Banks, Pampa, Texas 79065.
The family will receive friend at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 PM.
