Mary Helen Rivera

Mary Helen Rivera, 44, of Pampa, passed away, May 23, 2018 in Pampa.

Vigil will be 6:00 PM Friday, May 25, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, and funeral mass will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 26, 2018, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mary Helen was born December 15, 1973 in Fort Worth to Mary Lou Rivera Lopez. She was reared in Pampa and moved to Amarillo in 2004, returning to Pampa in 2018.

Mary Helen enjoyed bowling and basketball and was a member of the Pampa Special Olympics. She loved animals and enjoyed music by Selena and Michael Jackson. She was known as a jokester. She was loveable and loved giving hugs. She will be greatly missed by her family and those who knew her.

Survivors include two aunts, Victoria Davis and husband Bobby and Rita Davis and husband Calvin, all of Pampa; five cousins, Bobby Glen Davis, David Allen Davis, Cynthia D. Davis, Emilio Jr. Rivera and Steven Wilson Rivera; two sisters, Rosalinda Gomez and husband Jesus and Angie Shook and husband Buddy, all of Pampa; four brothers, Robert Rivera, Ricky Rivera and wife Anna, Ruben Rivera and wife Danette, and Juan Rivera Lopez, all of Pampa; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her grandmother, Elena Bazon Rivera, an aunt, Luz Castillo, and two cousins, Celia Hernandez and Diana Lynn Rivera.
