Michael Braswell, 63, of Pampa, passed away March 28, 2018 in Perryton. Celebration of Life memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, April 9, 2018 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel. Cremation and arrangements are under the care of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Braswell was born January 13, 1955 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to Ethel and Dorsey Braswell. Later his family moved to Colorado where he would attend school and graduate high school. He worked for Halliburton and that brought him to Pampa in the early 1980’s. Michael left Pampa and lived for a time in California and Hawaii. Eventually, he returned to Pampa in 2000 where he continued to work in the oil and gas industry for several years before entering the construction business. Michael was a man of many interests that included collecting cards, fishing and surfing, and he loved the beach. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, former husband, and friend. Survivors include his daughter, Keelei Braswell of Pampa; three sons, Ryan Braswell and wife Lacy of Canyon, Jason Ratcliff and wife Jerie Rider of Lamar, Colorado, and Anel Braswell of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Finley Braswell of Canyon; two grandsons, Aleksander Czesnowski of Pampa, and Ryker Ratcliff of Lamar, Colorado; a sister, Vicki Braswell of Lakin, Kansas; the mother of his children, Nancey Griffin of Pampa; his best friend, David Wilkes and wife Debbie of Perryton; his brother-in-law, Dr. Carl Thomas Wills in Melbourne, Florida, his close friend, John Griffin of Pampa; and three half siblings, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
