Michel Wiley, 98, of Pampa, on Thursday, September 27, 2018 in Pampa.
According to her wishes, her body was donated to the Texas Tech Health Science Center. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Michel was born April 17, 1920 in Lahoma, Oklahoma to Edgar A. Dixon, Sr. and Pearl Hayes Dixon. Michel grew up in Oklahoma and lived most of her adult life in Denver, Colorado. She relocated to Pampa in the early 1980’s to be closer to her family. Michel was a faithful member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She considered her sons, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren to be her legacy and greatest accomplishments.
Michel was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Gerlene Smith and 3 brothers, Edgar Dixon Jr., Duane Dixon and Robert W. Dixon, Sr.
Michel is survived by her two sons, Jerry Pope and wife, Dietta of Pampa and Charles Pope and wife, Frances of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Scott Pope of Houston, Brad Pope of Hollywood, CA, Zachary Pope of Krum, Talitha Anderson of Pampa, Dianna Fricks of Mundelein, IL and Steve Pope of Colorado Springs, CO; 11 great grandchildren and nephew, Robert W. Dixon, Jr. of Pampa.
