Michelle Renee Shorter

Michelle Renee Shorter, 56, of Pampa, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 in Pampa.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory. 

Michelle was born February 4, 1968 in Denver, Colorado to Larry and Janice Edwards. She graduated from Rubidoux High School in Riverside, California in 1986. Michelle moved to Pampa in 2015 and a few years later married Mark Shorter on October 7, 2017. She worked for Walmart as a sales associate for several years in Pampa. Michelle loved to help anyone and everyone. She had a kind and genuine spirit. She was a collector of things, mainly Pandas, butterflies, and costume jewelry. Michelle also enjoyed cooking and reading.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Shorter of the home; son, Joshua Powers of Pampa; brother, Scott Edwards and wife Sarah of Pampa; three sisters-in-law, Lou Shorter of Fritch, Kathy Leach and husband Mike of Tennessee, and Kimberly Alderson of Pampa; two brothers-in-law, Dory Shorter and Steven Shorter and wife Laura all of Tennessee; aunt, Louise Shorter of Pampa; and a cousin, Tina Whitely and husband Terry of Pampa.
