Morris Lynn Powell

Morris Lynn Powell, 66, of Canadian, known to friends as "Mo", was called to his eternal resting place on August 8, 2018. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 17, 2018, a Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, with Jake Perkins, minister of Canadian Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Powell entered this world on February 4, 1952 in Guymon, OK, born to Morris and Jewel Powell. He married Cynthia Brooks, and they celebrated 27 years together. He loved people and would have done anything he could to help a person in need. Morris enjoyed attending the Church of Christ in Canadian. Morris was a wonderful friend, step-father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Powell; sister, Sharon Kay Bradley and husband Fred of Lubbock; step-daughter, Tabatha Hays and husband A.J. of Bertram; three step-brothers, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Morris is preceded in death by his parents, Morris A. Powell and Jewel Powell, and step-mother, Rachel Taylor Powell.
