Nancy Jean Brown, 77, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at her home.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory. Viewing will begin on Tuesday morning.

Nancy was born February 29, 1944 in Quanah to Bill and Frances Lam. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1962. During high school she was a proud member of the Pride of Pampa Band and her most memorable time was the trip band trip to Chicago. After high school she attend Texas Tech. In 1965 she moved back to Pampa to work for Lane and Douglass Law Firm for several years. On June 7, 1969, she married Billy James Franklin Brown in Pampa, shortly after they married, they moved to Borger. Nancy was a homemaker and a stay-at-home mother when her children were growing up. In the mid 80's she began to work for the family business. Nancy enjoyed shopping for collectables with her daughters. She also loved to bowl, fish, sew, and arts and crafts. Her family was dear to her, and she loved spending time with them. Watching Golden Girls and the Hallmark channel was a favorite pastime.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; nephew, David Lee Luedecke; the girls' stepfather, John Thomas "Tom" Middlebrook; and Milton Lynn Saltzman.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Brown of the home; 3 daughters, Sherry Harvin and husband Jack of Borger, Shyla Rush and husband Joe of Pampa, and Jeanne Woodworth and husband Paul of Amarillo; a son, James Brown of El Paso; sister, Cindy Abbott and husband Doug of Pampa; 4 grandchildren, Joshua Harvin and Caitlyn, Kristen Harvin and Chaze, Rebecca Coffey and husband Seth, and Kristina Brown; 8 great grandchildren, Eli Middlebrook, Nohlan Coffey, Scarlett Morrison, Braylyn Gibbs, Willow Canchola, Harper Canchola, Khira Morris, and Trace Donham; nephew, Bill Luedecke of Amarillo; niece, Mechelle Moon of Lubbock; extended family, Laura Yates, Robin Yates, Chyna Hicks, Greg and Marsha Poole, Dallon Poole, and Holland Poole.
