Nancy Sims Dunlap, 68, of Panhandle, was promoted to her Lord and Savior’s house on October 10, 2018. We are so heavy hearted to lose this precious lady, but we know she is rejoicing on the streets of gold.
Celebration of life will be 10:00 AM Monday October 15, 2018 at Briarwood Church, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Nancy was born April 24, 1950 in Dallas to Hubert Sims and Dixie Coffee Sims. She graduated from Lefors High School in 1968. She had lived most of her amazing life in the Texas Panhandle with a few years of residency in the Dallas area. She was a member of Briarwood Church.
She loved the Lord and was on fire with His love. The loves of her life have always been her daughter and son-in-law, her grandkids and great-grandbabies. Oh, how she loved them with all her heart and soul! She loved going to anything and everything any of them participated in, and she also enjoyed taking special trips with her family.
She was known to many as Nanny, and she set the highest standard for who a Nanny should be. Being the second of seven kids, she always mothered her sisters and brothers and loved them dearly. She also looked at them as her best friends in life. She will be so missed by so many.
Survivors include her one and only daughter Tammi Allen, son in-law Ross of Pampa; three perfect grandchildren, Jarett Kotara and wife Lindsay of Pampa, Haili Kotara of Pampa, and Kyler Allen of Lubbock, four precious great-grand babies Rylan, Makenna, Kolt Kotara, and Brenli Bivins; three brothers, Dicky Sims and wife Margot of Hereford, Gary Mack Sims and wife Diane of League City, and Ronnie Sims and wife Jane of Pampa, two beautiful sisters, Lou Ann Padavich and husband Skeeter of Canyon, and Jill Marie Dutton of Katy; lots of special, special nieces and nephews whom she loved immensely; and her bonus daughter, Manda Rosser and family who brought her so much joy and laughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Dixie Sims, her little brother, Hubert Lynn Sims, great-grandson John Oliver Kotara, and nephew, Daniel Sims.
Memorials may be made to Feed the Flock c/o Briarwood Church, 1800 W. Harvester, Pampa, Texas 79065.
