Navor was born on January 15, 1947, in Martinez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Navor and Dolores Villalon. He attended schools in Mexico and began working at an early age to help support his family. On April 16, 1984, he married the love of his life, Sofia Gonzales. The two of them had six wonderful years together and had seven children before she preceded him in death in 1990. As hard as it was, Navor took on the task of raising his children on his own. He was an amazing father and family man. He did all that he could to make sure that his kids would never go without.
Navor was also a hard worker. He held jobs in several states, including Colorado, Nebraska, and Texas. In Colorado, he worked for Montfort’s Meat Packing for ten years. Later in Nebraska, he was employed by Tyson Foods for twenty years. When he moved to Pampa in 2012, he took a job at Wal-Mart until he eventually retired a few years later. When he retired, he liked to do improvements around the house and spend time with his family. He loved his grandchildren so much and was so proud of his entire family.
Navor is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sofia; a grandson, Anthony; four sisters, Isabel Villalon, Rebecca Villalon, Jovita Villalon, and Natalia Silva; and two brothers, Augustin Villalon and Franco Villalon.
He is survived by his three daughters, Isabel Villalon-Torrez and husband Mike of Greeley, Colorado, Natalie Villalon-Ramirez and husband Guadalupe of Hutchison, Kansas, and Carmen Villalon-Rodriguez and husband Osman of Lexington, Nebraska; four sons, Joe Villalon and wife Shavon of Lexington, Nebraska, Navor Villalon, Jr. of Greeley, Colorado, Juan Villalon and fiancée Marcella Lopez of Lexington, Nebraska, and Mario Villalon and wife Jamie of Pampa; twenty-six grandchildren, Kimberly, Claudia, Eric, Carmen, Lupe, David, Daisy, Gabby, Veronica, Mikey, Elizabeth, Anthony, Monica, Kamila, Mario Jr., Marilee, Julian, Sofia, Chris, Amberly, Kevin, Dominek, Anthony, Lucas, Victor, and Evelyn; five great-grandchildren, Maddi, Joseph Jr., Kaliyah, Arianna, and Denver; one sister, Beatrice Rodriguez-Saldierna of Pampa; two brothers, Alfredo Villalon and wife Simona of Dallas and Feliciano Saldierna and wife Noelia of Pampa; and numerous other relatives.
Navor “El Chapo” Villalon’s memory will live on forever through his children and those who loved him. Cherish the memories.
