Neva Joan Malone

Neva Joan Malone, 81, of Pampa, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, August 6, 2021 in Pampa with her children by her side.

Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with her grandson, Kevin Schaub, associate pastor of First Baptist Church of Durham, North Carolina, Officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Malone was born January 11, 1940 in Pampa to Marvin and Ruth Rippy. She grew up in Lefors and was a 1958 graduate of Lefors High School. She has been a resident of Pampa for over 60 years.

Neva married the love of her life, Harold Malone, on August 23, 1958 in Lefors and then moved to Pampa. Neva loved her family with all her heart. She raised four children to know and love Jesus their Lord and Savior and wanted the same for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After her children were grown, she worked at the family business, Atlas Oilfield Equipment as a secretary until her retirement.

Neva was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her parents Marvin and Ruth Rippy, infant daughter, Debra Diane Malone; an infant son, Chris Anthony Malone; a son, Mike Malone;  a grandson, Ryne Malone; and a sister, Myrtle Jane Rippy.

She is survived by two daughters, Lyssa Schaub and husband James of Pampa, and Lara Wheeler and husband Terry of Pampa; a son, Johnny Malone and wife Cheryl of Pampa; a brother, Ben Rippy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister, Lora Allen of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren
