Mrs. Muns was born on September 2, 1936, in Fayetteville, West Virginia to Nile Clifford and Eva Irene (Stull) Ellison. She was raised in the Kaymoor Coal Mine camp and always spoke fondly of her childhood in the mountains of West Virginia. She graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1954. After graduation she moved to Washington, DC and worked in the secretarial pool at the Federal Bureau of Investigations. There she met her husband, Harold Robert (Bob) Muns, and they were married October 8, 1958. They moved to Pampa in 1971.
Jean was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught in the preschool department for over 40 years. She volunteered at various church functions and was also a Hospice volunteer. She enjoyed reading her bible, listening to music, quilting, word find books and spending time with family. Jean was an amazing cook and baker. The recipes she learned from her mother have been passed down to her kids and grandkids.
