Nora Flynn, 76, of Pampa, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 2, 2018 at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Nora was born on April 22, 1941 in Ozona where she was raised and attended school. Later in Ozona, she met Rev. Dr. Jimmy Flynn and they later wed in Mexico on January 7, 1958. Nora and Jimmy would travel extensively throughout Texas helping to spread the gospel. After many years of travel, they would settle in Pampa in 1999. Jimmy would precede her in death on February 22, 2017. A devoted Christian, Nora became a member of Central Baptist Church. Nora enjoyed baking and singing, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Nora was preceded in death by her parents and by a granddaughter, Haleigh Flynn.
Her survivors include her two daughters, Sharon Slocum and husband Robert of Canyon Lake and Shannon Caddigan of San Francisco, California; her three sons, Ronnie Flynn of Kentucky, Gary Flynn and wife Deborah of Austin, and Bryan Flynn of Pampa; her three sisters, Janie Curtis of Mesquite, Dolores Cooper and husband Rod of Wylie, and Anna Flores and husband Leandro of San Angelo; her brother, Alejos Rios III of Midland; her 12 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
