Olivia Pauline, aka "Ola", aka "Pebbles" Jewell Anderson passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019, in Easley, South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 3, at 2pm, at Sutersville Primitive Methodist Church, 313 Third Ave., Sutersville, PA 15083.
Born September 10, 1957 in Cheverly, Maryland, to parents Edgar and Anna Jewell, she ran away to Texas and met the love of her life, Joe Anderson. They married September 10, 1975 on her 18th birthday in Houston, Texas.
They later moved to the small community of Pampa in the Texas panhandle. This was the community she called her hometown. She loved it there. She made many lifelong friends, came to know and love her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, found a wonderful church family, adopted a beautiful little girl, and made a warm and loving home with Joe and their daughter.
Sadly, her happy life was shattered when Joe became ill and died suddenly in January of 2009. Pebbles moved back to Pennsylvania to help care for her sister, Annie, who became ill in 2010 and died in 2011.
Since then, she lived with family in Pennsylvania and Tennessee, and for the last year, in South Carolina with her daughter and son-in-law.
Pebbles will be remembered fondly for her smile, her giving heart, sarcastic wit, and love of singing, which she freely admitted being terrible at.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Joe, sisters Anna and Kathryn.
She is survived by her daughter Olivia and son-in-law David Howard, sisters Beverly D'Eon, Edna Salzer, Betty (Ron) DeFlavis, brother Buddy (Belinda) Jewell, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
