Otto “Tony” Bonogofsky, 85, of Pampa, died Wednesday October 17, 2018 in Amarillo.
Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Bonogofsky was born May 13, 1933 in Raleigh, North Dakota to Casper and Rose Bonogofsky. He grew up in rural North Dakota before entering in the U.S. Army; he served stateside during the Korean conflict. Tony married Delores Katherine Schantz on July 21, 1955 in Mandan, ND, she passed away on January 31, 2014. He has been a resident of Pampa since 2004, moving from Michigan. While he lived in Michigan he farmed and raised livestock as well as he owned and operated grain elevators for over 30 years. During his retirement years he enjoyed being a maintenance man for apartment complexes. Tony was a catholic. He loved to go and help at the ranch in Oklahoma, going fishing with his wife, and spending time at the casinos in Oklahoma. He was a great handy man and loved to help his family and friends with various projects. He loved his family and spending time with them.
Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Reed and husband Roger of Pampa; three sons, Tyrone Bonogofsky and Linda Gallop of Ferndale, FL, Mark Bonogofsky and wife Traci of Tekonsha, MI, and Brian Bonogofsky and wife Annette of Martin, MI; a sister, Alvina Glass of Mandan, ND; a brother, Victor Bonogofsky of Cheyenne, WY; five grandchildren, Jaimie Peach and husband Te of Chester, OK, Travis Reed and wife Kristin of Gardendale, Breanne Bonogofsky of Martin, MI, Chad Bonogofsky of Marshall, MI, and Erick Hackworth of Traverse City, MI; six great grandchildren, Maudie Peach, Quinn Peach, Kingsley Reed, Brynlee Reed, Chance Bonogofsky, and Lily Pride.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
