Pamela “Renee” Welch, 62, of Pampa, went to be with our Lord on November 15, 2018 in Houston.
Celebration of life services will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 19, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Mike Watson of Hobart Baptist Church, and Rev. Jim Sinyard, pastor of Carpenter’s Church, officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Pamela was born January 13, 1956 in Pampa to Jo Ann and Carrol Welch. She was raised in Pampa until she was a teenager when she and her family moved to the Houston area where she lived for 25 years and raised her two daughters. Pamela was baptized in the Manville Baptist Church in 1995. She moved back to Pampa where she went to work for the TDCJ Jordan and Baten prison facilities. She proudly served the great State of Texas as a correctional officer for twelve years where she met many wonderful people and considered them as family.
Pamela graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She lived an extraordinary life and met many extraordinary people.
Survivors include two daughters, Andrea Hahn and husband Brady, and Noelle Fisher; her parents, Jo Ann and Carrol Welch; a sister, Debbie Larkin; three grandchildren, Jesse and Tristan Valusek and Alexander Fisher; nephew, Joshua Larkin and wife Emily and their children Cooper and Dax; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
