Patricia Ann "Pat" Richardson

Patricia Ann “Pat” Richardson, 80, of Pampa, died peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2018, surrounded by family.

Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 12, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Reed of Gateway to Hope in Chickasha, Oklahoma, officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Pat was born July 18, 1937 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma to Annie Mae and Willie James. She was a 1956 graduate of Ninnekah High School. Pat married Tony Dell Richardson on February 14, 1958. She was the secretary at their business, L & R Machine, and then was able to return home to be devoted homemaker.

Pat was an avid sports fanatic. She loved football, baseball, and tennis; especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. Her hobbies included reading, shopping and playing Pokeno for 49 years with her longtime friends, and was known as the Pokeno Queen by her husband, Tony. She was always so caring and giving towards everyone, and had the most fun-loving and easy-going personality. She was referred to as “Meme” by most of her friends, family and even strangers. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Pat is survived by her husband, Tony Richardson of the home; her daughters, LaPrinia Richardson and Debbie Rohling and husband Randall, all of Chickasha, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Tony Ledrick and wife Haley of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, and Ryne Richardson of Austin; four granddaughters, Lindsey Couts and fiancé Bryan McCormick, Lauren Couts, and Marlee Richardson, all of Pampa, and Krishel Cowan of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 5 great grandchildren; two sisters, Jessie Bennett of Ninnekah, Oklahoma and Joy Bennett and husband Roy of Chickasha, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Dell Richardson; her parents, Willy and Annie James of Ninnekah, Oklahoma; three sisters, Hope Christine Valliant of Pueblo, Colorado, Molly Alice Bruner of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Eva Ruth Morris of San Antonio; and one brother, Alton James of Ninnekah, Oklahoma.
