Patsy Poole, 84, of Pampa passed away Friday June 15, 2018 in Amarillo.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Glen Walton, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Poole was born December 26, 1933 in Chillicothe and was a 1951 graduate of Mobeetie High School. She married Virgle Poole on January 12, 1952 in Clovis. He preceded her in death in 2013. She was a homemaker for her husband and 5 children as well as their 42 foster children. She was a longtime member of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ. She loved her yearly garden, canning, and tending to her flowers.
Survivors include her two sons, Micheal Ray Poole and wife Dawna of Amarillo and Chris Poole and wife Wendy of Benbrook; 3 daughters, Becky Potter and husband Gary of Pampa, Rhonda Fletcher and husband Mark of Amarillo and Tracy Fanous and husband John of Corinth; nine grandchildren, David Potter, Amy Williamson, Danielle Poole, Amanda Davis, Bradley Fletcher, Jarrett Fletcher, Mickenzie Poole, Madison Poole, and Payton Poole; 10 great-grandchildren and two fur babies, Max and Little Bit.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to High Plains Children’s Home, 11461 South Western St., Amarillo, TX 79118 or Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ, 1342 Mary Ellen St., Pampa, TX 79065.
There will be a visitation Tuesday June 19, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
