Paul Giles

October 4, 1950 — October 10, 2023

Clarendon and formerly of Perryton

Paul Giles, 73, of Clarendon, and formerly of Perryton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 10, 2023, in Amarillo.

No services are announced at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Paul was born on October 4, 1950, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Edgar and Mildred Faye Giles. He spent his first few years in Oklahoma as a young child before moving with his family to Texas, settling in Perryton. Paul grew up and attended school in Perryton. After high school, he entered the workforce spending his time doing what he loved, working with his hands in roofing and doing carpentry with his brother, Steve.

When he was not working, he found a lot of enjoyment spending time playing music and being outdoors fishing. However, the most important aspect of his life was being a Christian. He was a devout and faithful follower of Christ, and he would read the gospels from front to back and always had a bible in his lap or by his side. Paul was an easy-going and tender-hearted man who loved all those around him, and who never held a grudge. He will be missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gene Giles; and by an infant sister.

Paul is survived by his brother, Steve Giles and wife Janet of Pampa; a sister, Georgia Faye McGarraugh of Perryton; a sister-in-law, Carol Giles of Perryton; six nephews, Kim Clenney of Austin, Kelly Clenney of Dallas, Cody Allen of North Carolina, Shawn Giles of Perryton, Cole Giles, and Chadd Giles, both of Pampa; several great nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
