Paul Kirby, 74, of White Deer, passed away June 19, 2018 in Amarillo.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 23, 2018, at First Baptist Church of White Deer with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
Mr. Kirby was born January 14, 1944 in Pampa to Zelma and Brodie Kirby. He was a lifelong resident of White Deer, attending White Deer schools. After high school, he met the love of his life, Rosie Bledsoe in Pampa, and they later married on June 11, 1963 in Pampa. He was a longtime employee of Cabot Corporation, retiring after 40 years of service. Paul was a member of First Baptist Church of White Deer.
Paul was a “jack of all trades” who had many talents, being able to easily work with metal or wood. He was a very generous man who put others before himself, and who never met a stranger. He loved his whole family, especially his grandchildren, and he will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Kirby of the home; two daughters, Tina Wright and husband Robert of Florida, and Elizabeth Ann Holloway and husband Mike of Dayton; a son, Tim Kirby and wife Mellissa of Anthony, New Mexico; three sisters, Sue Smith of Borger, Jane Radcliff of Pampa, and Linda McClure and husband Ronnie of Claremore, Oklahoma; brother, Dan Kirby and wife Marie of College Station; two granddaughters, Alyssa Gibbs and husband Sam of North Carolina, and Brynnen Kirby of Anthony, New Mexico; six grandsons, Aaron Holloway and wife Angel of Huntsville, Alabama, Darrik Holloway of Dayton, Reece Kirby of Miami, Taylor Pairis, Larson Kirby and Brody Kirby, all of Anthony, New Mexico; brother-in-law, Jim Bledsoe and wife Carol of Hooker, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Billie Harris and husband Robert of Trinity, and Sherri Finch of Whitehouse; a nephew, Chris Kirby and wife Sonya of Pampa.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Tom Kirby.
The family will have a visitation at the funeral home on Friday, June, 22, 2018 from 6:00-7:00PM.
