Pauline Bryant, 103, of Pampa, passed away, April 8, 2021 in Pampa.
No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the care of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Pauline was born on February 25, 1918 to Leona and Luther Sutton in Paris. As a young girl she helped take care of all her nine siblings and her parents at the family farm in north Texas. She later met and married Lester Bryant. She and Lester lived in several Texas towns before settling in the Panhandle where they lived in Fritch and came to Pampa in 1959, remaining since. Lester would precede her in death in 1968. She was a founding and longtime member of Barrett Baptist Church. She found great enjoyment going to the cabin and fishing for trout whenever they could.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Rita Gaines; a son-in-law, Ronnie Gaines; a daughter-in-law, Gwen Bryant; and by nine siblings.
Her survivors include her son, Marvin Bryant of Canadian; a granddaughter, Kristi Loveless and husband Andy of White Deer; two grandsons, Bruce Bryant and wife Monica of Canadian, and Jeffery Gaines and wife Elizabeth of Pampa; great-grandchildren, Zoie Roye and husband Brady, Zarek Baten, Benjamin Bryant, Bailey Bryant, Brody Gaines and wife RayLeigh, Chase Gaines, and Brooke Orr; a great great-grandson, Creason Gaines; and a host of other extended family.
