Pauline Gardner, 89, of Pampa, passed away on July 18, 2017 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Pauline was born on December 7, 1927 in Sayre, OK to Beatrice and George Johnson. Pauline grew up and attended schools in Sayre. Later while living in Sayre, she would meet and marry the love of her life, Marshall D. Gardner and they would wed on July 7, 1944 and he would precede her in death on August 25, 1993. Some time after their marriage, they would move to Tucumcari, NM where they would reside for several years before moving back to Texas, living in Dumas and later in Pampa. Pauline at one time would work for Charlie’s furniture and a few other retailers but she mainly used her time to care for her family. Mrs. Gardner loved to sew and was a talented seamstress. When she wasn’t sewing you could find her working in her yard and garden. Pauline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include a son, Marshall E. Gardner and wife Libby of Red Lodge, MT; her daughter, Linda Finney and husband Ronald of Amarillo; three granddaughters, Deanna Skaggs and husband Larry of Amarillo, Erin Gardner- Gay and husband Corey of The Marshall Islands, and Kelley Gardner of Billings, MT; a grandson, Warren Finney and wife Monice of Hurst; six great-grandchildren, Blaine, Ronda, Ashley, Colton, Kirsten, and Evelyn.
