Peggy Howard

Peggy Howard, 87, of Pampa passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 in Pampa.

Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 30, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Darrouzett in Darrouzett, Texas with Pastor Paul Dickson, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Darrouzett Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Howard was born February 20, 1931 in Follett to James and Edith Travis. She graduated from Darrouzett High School in 1949. Peggy married Bobby Howard on June 20, 1950 in Logan, Oklahoma. Bobby passed away on May 6, 2017. She was a homemaker and loved her family. Peggy enjoyed painting and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Leanna Kay Howard; 3 brothers, Bill Travis, Bernie Travis, and Russ Travis; her sister, Jeannie Crane.

Survivors include her daughter, Janet Giles and husband Steve of Pampa; her son, Randy Howard and wife Shirley of Perryton; 2 sisters, Diane Travis and Mary Perkins and husband Gil; 3 sisters-in-law, Hazel Travis, Judy Travis, and Delsa Travis; 5 grandchildren, Cole Giles and wife Jessica, Chadd Giles and wife Lori, Aaron Schilling and husband Hunter, Cali Taylor and husband Jordan, and Ryan Howard and wife Melissa; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
