Penelope "Penny" Lee

Penelope “Penny” Lee, 66, of Pampa, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in Pampa.

Penny was born on April 15, 1955 in Casa Grande, Arizona to Roe Dale and Sonya Dennis. She attended schools in Soper and Wanette, Oklahoma. She later received her GED through Clarendon College in Pampa. Penny was a very busy lady after school, working for several restaurants and retail stores. In 1969, she met Gary Lee. The two were married on May 21, 1971. During the early years of their marriage, Gary and Penny moved all around for Gary’s work. They eventually moved to Pampa in 1990. Penny worked for a few supermarkets in Pampa, and later worked as the manager of Hastings Entertainment.

Penny loved to spend time with her grandkids. She loved to play video games, and she introduced her grandsons to video games. She also loved purses and makeup and shared that love with her granddaughters. Penny liked to travel with Gary. They always had a trip planned for each year. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.

Penny is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roe Dale Dennis, Jr.; and a sister, Pamela Neffendorf.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Lee of the home; four children, Gatha Lee of Pampa, Stephanie Waters and husband John of Kansas City, Kansas, Sonia Voss and husband Brandon of Miami, and Carl Zachary Lee of Soper, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, Daniel Hulsey and wife Daxi of Fredericksburg, Savanna Hulsey, Devin Lee, Dawsen Lee, and Daxten Lee all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tyler Lee and Marissa Lee of Oklahoma, Rody Phillips, Scarlet Waters, and Lily Waters all of Kansas City, Kansas, and Creed Voss of Miami; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Paula Brady and husband Ronnie, and Patricia Reese, all of Arkansas; one brother, Harvey Dennis and wife Sheila of Arkansas; many nieces and nephews; and best friend, Diane Perecko of Virginia.
