Rachel Joyce Conner, 92, of Pampa, Texas, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 in Pampa, Texas at 6:12 AM. Memorial services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Borger, Texas with David Cagle, elder, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Joyce was born March 25, 1925 in Midwest, Wyoming. She married Roy Conner on August 10, 1940 in Borger, Texas. They moved to Pampa in 1960. Joyce was a homemaker to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved cooking, baking, reading and studying the Bible with anyone who was interested. Every year the family went to Colorado and camped on Park Creek Road for two weeks. The best of times was visiting with family and friends around the campfire in the evenings. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, since her baptism in 1946, and was faithful to her last days. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband Roy L. Conner on June 16, 1998; and her two brothers, Harry Erichson and Rex Erichson. Survivors include one son, Jimmy G. Conner and his wife Ruth of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and their three children, Tracy, Elizabeth and Barry; one daughter, Linda J. Reed of Pampa, Texas, and her three sons, Jeff, Michael and Nathan, and her daughter Maria; 12 great grandchildren; and her beloved pet Brandie.
