Ralph O. Wilson, Jr.

Ralph O. Wilson, Jr., 77, of Pampa passed away on Sunday May 27, 2018 in Amarillo.

Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Kyle Ohsfeldt, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Ralph was born August 12, 1940 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Ralph and Mary Anna Wilson.  He graduated from Mooreland High School in 1958 and attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva where he met the love of his life.  He married Carolyn Riley on October 11, 1960; they celebrated 57 years of marriage before she passed away on October 17, 2017. Ralph began his career with City Service and retired from Williams Natural Gas in 1995 after 37 years of service.  He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, playing softball, and watching his grandchildren play their sports.  He was active at Hidden Hills Golf Course, where he worked for several years and played golf with the Hidden Hills Seniors.  Ralph was past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge in Guymon, Oklahoma.  He will be missed by his morning coffee club and his many friends.  Ralph loved to spend time with his family and loved being “PaPa” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two sisters; Marilyn Corter and Janie McFeters; granddaughter, Sarrah Ennis; son-in-law, Judge Woodruff; and two brother-in-laws, Lynn Fussel and Chuck Goddard.

Survivors include his two daughters; Pam Woodruff and Terry Stroud of Pampa, and Tamera Sperry and husband David of Skellytown; son, Joe Wilson and wife Lisa of Pampa; three sisters, Pat Goddard and Debbie White both of Enid, OK, and Shirley Fussel of Mooreland, OK; 16 grandchildren, Jake, Matt, Riley, Samantha, Morgan, Tandy, Joshua, Sarrah, Shylynna, Jacob, Jadon, Chris, Joe,Jr., Zach, Jessica, and Lauren; 21 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.
