Randall Kent Cross, 75, of Pampa, passed away July 22, 2018 in Pampa.
Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 27, 2018, at Briarwood Church, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor, officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Cross was born November 7, 1942 in Pampa to John Raymond and Charlena Cross. He attended Pampa High School. He married Patti Foster on July 5, 1962. Randall was employed at T.R.W. in California and he worked on the first space satellite ever launched into space. He later returned to Pampa where he worked and retired with Chevron Phillips. In his spare time he liked to fish in Bass tournaments, and he enjoyed coaching little league. Randall was an avid golfer and he found great enjoyment golfing with all of his golf buddies. Mr. Cross was responsible for naming Hidden Hills golf course. Randall loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, as well as his beloved cats Lewis and Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Patti Cross of the home; a son; Deven Cross and wife Sheri of Amarillo; three daughters, Kendall Reed and husband Marc of Pampa, Kelly Rocha and husband Emilio of Lubbock, and Amy Summers and husband Heath of Pampa; five grandsons, Chase McAlpin of Lubbock, Saige Cross and wife Maisie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Beck Cross of Amarillo, Britt Summers of Pampa, and Mason Rocha of Lubbock; three granddaughters, Chandler McAlpin of Midland, Tatum Cross of Amarillo and Makenna Reed of Amarillo; a brother, Maurice “Tinker” Cross and wife Bonnie of Pampa; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Avis Smith, and a brother, J. R. Cross
