Raul Ignacio Rios

Raul Ignacio Rios, 51, of Pampa, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in Pampa.

Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel.

Memorial mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady (Raj), officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Raul will be available for viewing from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

Raul was born on August 27, 1972 in Delicias, Mexico to Alejandro and Manuela Alvidrez Rios. He was raised in Mexico and moved to the United States when he was 22. Raul lived in Las Vegas for several years before moving to Liberal, Kansas. He met Rita Soto in 2008 and the two were later married on January 27, 2012. Raul moved to Pampa in 2010 and started River’s Laundromat.

Raul enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his children and his granddaughter. He also enjoyed traveling and eating his wife’s cooking. Raul was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alejandro Rios; one sister, Isabel Beltran; and his grandmother, Celia “Chelita” Alvidrez Rios.
