Rhonda Jean Cornish Stephenson, 35, of Amarillo died on June 21, 2020 in Amarillo.
Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 29, 2020 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. The funeral service will be live streamed at https://www.carmichael-whatley.com/page/live-streaming.
Rhonda was born May 12, 1985 in Lubbock and attended school in Pampa. She has lived in Amarillo the past 16 years. Rhonda was a hard worker and provided the best she could for her children. She has worked at IHOP as a waitress for the last 3 years and enjoyed her job. She never met a stranger and always had a smile. When she was not working, she was spending time with her kids.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leland and Lennie Taylor; uncle, Sammy Taylor; stepfather, Bobby J. Stowe; and2 friends, Koelenzie Mills and Amanda Butler.
She is survived by her mother, Magaline Taylor of Pampa; father, Ollie Cornish of Levelland; 2 daughters, Ashanti Cornish of Amarillo and Taylor Remes of Allison; 2 sons, Rocky Baldwin and Tra-laun Jackson both of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Tasha Mora and husband Gilbert of Post, Angie Huneycutt and Ashley Cornish both of Amarillo; brother, Troy Gilbert of Post; 4 aunts, Rosie Adkism and husband Kenneth of Pampa, Jeannette Taylor of Twitty, Wanda Ward of Lubbock, and Martha Corcoran of Pampa; uncle, Leland Taylor and wife Rhonda of Sundown; 2 special friends, Arnita Loyd and Jackie Ervin both of Amarillo; and numerous cousins.
