Richard “Ricki” Grajeda, 26, of Mineral Wells, formerly of Pampa, passed away on January 2, 2019 in Mineral Wells.
Vigil will be recited at 4:30 PM Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Mark McVay, deacon, officiating. Funeral mass will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 7, 2019, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with Rev. Juan Carlos Barragan, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Ricki was born June 10, 1992 in Pampa to Suzanna and Ricardo Grajeda. He was a longtime resident of Pampa, attended Pampa schools and for a short time, he worked at Flogistics. In 2018, Ricki moved to Mineral Wells to work in the landscaping industry. He was a big sports enthusiast and was a passionate fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his son, Richard Grajeda, Jr; his father, Ricardo Grajeda and wife Reyna of Pampa; three brothers, Steven Soto of Brownwood, Michael Grajeda and wife Alba and Christofer Grajeda, all of Pampa; a sister, Jennifer Mojica and husband Jesus of Pampa; a grandmother, Consuelo Luna of Pampa; four nieces, Kristen Soto of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ainsley Mojica, Adelynn Grajeda and Elliana Grajeda, all of Pampa; one nephew, Aevyan Grajeda of Pampa.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanna Grajeda; paternal grandparents, Pedro and Cruz Grajeda; and maternal grandfather, Juan Rodriguez.
