Robert "Scooter" Hutchison

Robert “Scooter” Hutchison, 44, of Pampa and formerly of McLean, passed away, January 5, 2019 in Amarillo.

Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 10, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Pampa with Casey Carter of One Way Church of McLean, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Scooter was born on April 5, 1974 in Shamrock to Connie and Darrell Hutchison. Scooter grew up and attended school in McLean. As a young man he went to work for the City of Pampa where he would travel back and forth from McLean to Pampa before officially moving to Pampa in 1999. While in Pampa, Scooter met the love of his life, Stacey Watson and they wed on July 29, 2006 in Pampa.

In 2010 Scooter entered in to the real estate industry and continued to work in real estate business with Re/Max Hometown until his passing. Scooter loved spending time with his wife, whether it was dancing, going on picnics, camping, traveling to see new places or firing up the grill, just anything to spend time with Stacey. He was big car enthusiast and he pretty much knew every car make and model that there is, but what brought him the most joy was being with his family. Scooter was a charitable and giving man who always put others before himself. He will be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother and friend, and he will be greatly missed.

His survivors include his wife of the home, Stacey Hutchison; his mother, Connie Fricks of McLean; two sisters, Stephanie Moon and husband Alex of McLean and Amanda Alexander and husband James of Graham; six brothers, Conard Shackleford and wife Heather of Pampa, Dewayne Shackleford and wife Susan of San Antonio, David Hutchison and wife Colleen, Toby Hutchison and wife Amanda, Willie Hutchison and wife Cecelia, and Andy Ritchie and wife Alexis, all of McLean; by a father-in-law, Keith Watson of Canadian; by a mother-in-law, Bonnie Watson of Glazier; by his brother-in-law, Lonnie Watson and wife Theresa of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family; and by his beloved fur babies, Hannah Jo and Sadie.

Scooter was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Truman Hutchison; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Opal Hutchison; and by his maternal grandparents, Conard and Willie Lou Morris.

Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association National Center, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 6:00 PM- 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
