Rocky Don McInturf, 47, of Pampa passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, October 26, 2019 in Pampa.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Highland Baptist Church with Brother Paul Nachtigall, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Rocky was born in April 19, 1972 in Fairfax, Oklahoma to Don and Janet McInturf. He was raised in Yale, Oklahoma and Woodward, Oklahoma. During Rocky’s eighth grade year, he won the basketball free throw contest, making 28 of 32 baskets. This earned him the honor of participating in the state free throw contest. In 1990, Rocky moved to Pampa with his family and he graduated from Pampa High School in 1991. While at Pampa High School, he played football for the Pampa Harvester and earned the “Fighting Harvester” award. He was an avid WWE Wrestling fan and bowler. He loved to bowl, bowling on various leagues and carried an average of 160-180.
Rocky never met a stranger and was kind to everyone. He loved the Lord and was willing to pray with anyone who needed prayer. Rocky will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his aunt “mom,” Sandra Punches Davis of the home; a sister of the heart, Jeanne Miller of White Deer; an uncle; 3 aunts; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
