Rosa Linda Rivera Gomez

Rosa Linda Rivera Gomez, 52, of Pampa, passed away on September 6, 2023, in Amarillo with her family by her side.

Celebration of life memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 11, 2023, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Rosa will be available for viewing from 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM on Saturday and 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Rosa was born on November 19, 1970, in Fort Worth. She grew up and attended school in both the Pampa and Fort Worth area. In 2002, Rosa made Pampa her permanent home. While in Pampa, she worked in food service at Furr’s and Sirloin Stockade. Later, Rosa entered the nursing profession working as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at the Pampa Nursing Center and Texas Panhandle Community Center. Rosa would meet Jesus Gomez and they married on October 26, 2013, in Pampa.

Rosa was an outgoing woman who loved to dance, talk, and was usually the life of the party. She was a selfless woman who gave as much as she could to those in need and who never met a stranger. She will be remembered as fiercely loyal woman who loved her children, grandchildren, and all her family, and she will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Lopez; and a brother, Robert Rivera.

Rosa is survived by her husband, Jesus Gomez of Pampa; a daughter, Samantha Rivera of Pampa; two sons, Jimmy Alonzo and wife Julie of Amarillo, and Trey Johnson of Pampa; nine grandchildren, Madison, Natyli, Arianna, Alyx, Ciana, Charlee, Zoe, Christopher, and Gabriella; a sister, Angie Shook and husband Buddy of Pampa; three brothers, Ruben Rivera and wife Danette, Juan Lopez, and Ricky Rivera and wife Ana, all of Pampa; stepfather, Ricardo Lopez of Pampa; and best friend, Angelica Dominguez of Pampa; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
