Rosalie Spies, 78, of Borger, passed away on December 18, 2021 in Fort Worth.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Bruce Clifton officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Director and Crematory. The funeral will be livestreamed through the funeral home website.
Rosalie was born December 1, 1943 in Canadian to Robert and Gladys Hollowell. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1961. Soon after high school, she married Leonard Johnson and they had 3 daughters. Rosalie later married Randolph Spies on August 14, 1976, he passed away on November 28, 2008. She worked at various jobs over the years, her last job was with the Fort Worth ISD, where she was a library clerk. She loved her job and retired due to her health. For the past 9 years she has lived in a nursing home where she became very involved in weekly bible studies. Rosalie also collected all kinds of Owl collectibles and she loved playing Bingo. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, she loved them dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Bob Hollowell.
Survivors include her 3 daughters, Karen Clark and husband Terry of Del Norte, Colorado, Cindy Cotten and husband Craig of Monte Vista, Colorado, and Kristi Pickett and husband Greg of Perryton; a sister, Kathy Irvin of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
