RoseAnn Gowin, 76, of Pampa, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at her home in Pampa surrounded by her family.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
RoseAnn will be available for viewing 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Saturday, and from 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
RoseAnn was born on June 16, 1946, in Dodge City, KS to Willard Earl Lee and Alberta Louise Lee. As a young girl, her family moved to Pampa where she graduated school. She married Charles Gowin on August 11, 1964, in Miami, TX. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2013. RoseAnn and Charles lived in Dodge City, Kansas for a short time before moving back to Pampa in 1965.
RoseAnn worked in the food industry for several years that included Moses’, McDonald’s, and Burger King. She later took a position at the Tralee Crisis Center, a career that she took great pride in. RoseAnn acted as a manager who served for over 30 years, and she helped many women and families along the way.
She prioritized her family, and she always tried her best to make all of her grandchildren’s sporting events. RoseAnn also took the time to make sure everyone in the family felt special and loved. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Tanita L. Gowin; and a son-in-law, Alan Dallas.
Rose is survived by her three children, Tamilan L. Dallas Weeks and fiancée, Michael Livingston, Charles G. Gowin, and wife Sandra Hopper, all of Pampa, and Teresa L. Degollado and husband Danny of Lubbock; nine grandchildren, Ricky C. Spiller and wife Cindy, Alisha M. Dallas, Adeena M. Richey and husband J.P., Arin J. Keough and husband Christopher, Johnathan A. Olson and wife Annie, Christopher C. Gowin, and Braden C. Gowin, Dakota C. Gowin and wife, Kasey, Mecca C. Durham and husband Caleb; 15 great-grandchildren, Jaqueline M. Spiller, Colton A. Spiller, Donald J. Olson, Daxton J. Dallas- Richey, Jaxcyn Richey, Azdyn C. Dallas, Paisley Smith, Emory Smith, Mason Smith, Payton K. Gowin, Connor Gowin, Ryan G. Durham, Weston C. Durham, Leyton D. Durham, and Tyler Durham; two great-greatgrandchildren, Jocelyn-Sophia Urias, and Oliver Elijah Charles Spiller.
